Kookies - MF DOOM

I’ve always been a huge fan of MF DOOM. The track posted above is on my favorite album of his (that’s a hard call to make.) MM FOOD is chock-full of great tracks. From Rapp Snitch Knishes to Deep Fried Frenz to the weird instrumentals in between, the whole thing is solid; front to back.

His newest album, Born Like This is great too. Definitely not my favorite, but damn is it good stuff. Check out Ballskin and That’s That (the beat on That’s That comes from MF DOOM himself and he tears it up. Keep an ear out for the Doom (the videogame) sound effects in the background).

So, back to Kookies:

All I got is messages from ass-naked females

Damn he does it right. This dude just rhymes so weird he is always making me smile.

They got ‘em with they curls out

And they gotta better sales pitch than the Girl Scouts

I gotta quote one more from this one:

He got the ‘L but it’s hard to drink without it

And could use some kookies, but tryin’ not to think about it

I could go on for hours quoting lines from DOOM, but why don’t we have someone a bit more qualified do it for me?

If you haven’t been listening to DOOM (and I can’t imagine why), you oughta get on it right now. Seems like he’s got another alias for each album he puts out, so make sure you look around for King Geedorah and Viktor Vaughn. Oh, and don’t forget his collaborations with Madlib and Danger Mouse: named Madvillain and Danger Doom, respectively.
